Recently appointed executive director of Simpson Housing Services, Julie Manworren, has over 20 years of experience in non-profit service to disadvantaged families. Most recently, she served as a vice president at Children’s Home Society and Family Services. Prior to that, she has served as co-chairperson of the St. Paul Coalition for Those Experiencing Homelessness and as chair of the Board for the St. Paul Shelter Board (a group which she helped found). She is an active participant in the National Alliance for Children and Families and the Greater Twin Cities United Way. Julie also holds a master’s degree in social work and is a past recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer Service to the Hungry and Those Experiencing Homelessness in Minnesota Award.
