Land of 10,000 Homeless Video

MESH Since 2000, the Metro-wide Engagement on Shelter and Housing (MESH) has created a metro-wide partnership of seven metro counties and 60 organizations that are building solutions to end homelessness and improve access to affordable housing. To educate people about the realities of homelessness, MESH produced a video entitled Land of 10,000 Homeless, which can be used as a discussion piece for any interested groups. It is available on DVD from MESH.

Gothriel (Fred) La Fleur
Assistant County Administrator - Criminal Justice, Hennepin County

"Increasingly, more people involved in the criminal justice system are finding themselves faced with the likelihood of homelessness. Criminal records, unemployment, chemical dependency, and mental illness are but a few of the barriers that prevent offender from securing stable and affordable housing. Poverty should not be a crime."
